Overview

The open-source skillgate-ai CLI (0.7.9) gates Agent Skills before they ship to Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code.

What you get

Pack on disk: SKILL.md, scripts, and evals/cases.yaml in one folder.
Live agent checks: every pinned check runs through Cursor Agent CLI, Codex CLI, or Claude Code, using your agent subscription and its quota. A decision model you select scores that live check. With none selected, check exits 2.
Exit codes: check returns 0 / 1 / 2 for CI. 1 is red. 2 is no agent, not signed in, or no decision model (unless --no-judge).
On your machine: install the CLI and gate packs locally.

Distribution

Install from PyPI as skillgate-ai (not the unrelated skillgate package on PyPI), or build from the public GitHub repository. Version 0.7.9 requires Python 3.11+ (3.12 and 3.13 are supported). See Install.
